PARALEGAL POSITION
The Law Offices of Nicole M. Bluefort has TWO immediate openings in their Lynn and Boston office for a full-time and part-time entry level paralegal position. The candidate will participate as a team member and assists attorneys, mid and/or senior level paralegals in various litigation matters by playing a key role in the work required to support the firm’s clients. Availability for overtime and flexibility for travel are required. Intermediate understanding of the overall litigation and discovery process; works directly with paralegals and attorneys in coordinating and executing requests. Coordinates management of case documents, including organization of client documents and opposing party productions; coordinates and manages review and production of documents. Assists attorneys and paralegals in drafting privilege logs for production to opposing party. Prepares for and attends depositions, hearings, trials and arbitrations, as necessary. Compiles, reviews and analyzes documents as required by attorneys and determines necessary information. Performs research (factual, legal, internet, and other) to identify issues and relevant matters. Assists with preparation of court filings and assembling of exhibits and appendices. Understands mechanics of e-filing and assists with preparation of documents for same. Complies with department and firm administrative procedures and policies.
Qualification and Experience:
The candidate should have a degree and/or certificate in paralegal or legal administration, Law firm experience is a preferred. Spanish speaking is a plus. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required. Strong knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft office programs including MS Word and Excel needed. Able to maintain strict confidentiality of the firm’s internal and personnel affairs and client information. Understands ethics of position including ethical rules in regards to confidentiality, billing and client representation and advocacy. Collaborates effectively and professionally with clients and all levels of personnel, including attorneys, coworkers and administrators. Possesses very strong oral and written communication skills to effectively communicate to attorneys and staff. Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.
